Hey
I have this copy of the blue vinyl which is limited to 300 and only 1 pressing is exist.BUT it has black smoke stripes, which i can`t see on any pictures about this pressing.Any of you has the same copy of this with this smoke stripes or am i have a unique item?

no expert, but the photo of rrd in the pressing info for the blue looks like it has a little bit black smoke aswell, maybe you got more smoke. and yes, like all the other 300, yours is unique, like all records with more than one color...

Not to being picky but i can maybe see one darker line over the "E",On the left side only the tree on the cover makes some darker shades.Mine has a lot more visible black streaks.

It's colour vinyl it never looks the same.
I have had mix vinyl show up all one colour and I've had splatter vinyl with maybe 1 splatter on it and others in the press have tons.
It doesn't technically make it anymore rare if that's what you're trying to get at yours just came out different to one that someone else is showing you.
Basically what happens as well is when they press certain colours they will mix two together and also you will sometimes pick up a small amount of the previous colour on the plates. So it could be a case of some black residue mixed into your vinyl or it could be that they mixed black in to darken the overall colour of the record.

yeah i get that, and it is not about to show off, just only curiousity that anyone else has any of this with the black streaks. It sounds weird to have a unique-ish press, so i am curious that anyone else has similar to me.To be honest if nobody turns up with similar streaks i dont care about anymore.If more people has similar then maybe it worth to update the pressing info and thats it:)
I am not about to sell it for some high amount of money on ebay or shit like that if is this is the only one with a visible difference.

*sigh* Fan created variants... when collecting records has more in common with baseball cards and comics books than it does music.

I started to collect records in 99` and this is the first time that i`ve found something in my collection that does not matchin up with press infos.|So basicly i`m not spending my time to browse each records i have to find some more "unique" copy.
I`ve never collected comics or baseball cards, more into to sneakers...

exactly... the only time i ever did this was when i received my brown copy of ZAO's "Where Blood and Fire..." LP from Broken Circles and it has a very distinct yellow haze blooming from the center... so much so that Brent actually requested that I send it back to him.... which I didn't haha...

of all the records we pressed for Fat Sandwich, we've had the "black wisps" show up on random records in almost every batch of colored variants. you wanna talk about a clusterfuck of one-offs, check out the cities aviv "coastin'" variants on my list. we ordered 3 color ways and received 12 different colors. and within each of those 12 variants we had a number of differing shades.

its cool and all, but to distinguish between shades is ridiculous. like when all those kids were trying to collect the different shades of that converge/coalesce split 7".

Now i`m totally updated on color records pressing:)
yeah that converge/coalesce release had about 30 variants!!the similar ridicilusness has one of the have heart 7" with about the same amount of variants.
I think i just gonna leave it as blue/300 and not try to make up 1 or 2 of a kind pressing variants or whatever.
