Real awesome man, definitely good to be back now it's re designed. Any chance of the Record Store database being updated so we can add stores outside of the US? That would be cool.

hey Nick, I noticed that on long posts it doesn't wrap the text to the next line and you lose some on the end. it's probably a basic formatting issue but just letting you know. i'm using firefox.

Not a huge deal, just fyi, a lot of the messages in my inbox now appear unread (after being read a long time ago). If I open them again they still look unread.

Noticed this too I think it just means you aren't the last person to respond in the thread.

As for me, every time I try to update my sale thread the body gets deleted and the only thing that stays is my link.

So I've just randomly searching bands and looking releases and I think I see the issue with allowing everyone to input Release information, everyone just wants to post the information. It seems as though people are creating new release information for the same album, when really its just another pressing of the same album. In just my brief search I searched for "Transit". They have 6 albums listed, this is fine however Split is listed twice because one is the 1st pressing and the other is the 2nd pressing. I went into the first pressing and add the 2nd pressing, the one with a picture associated to it after noticing this to combine the listing. But the 2nd pressing listing remains, there needs to be a way to delete this listing ie maybe have moderators or something to keep the albums listed from having duplicates, or just go full on Wikipedia way and allow people to add and delete information freely. Maybe I'm just being super anal about it, but I doubt I'm the only one. Just my initial thoughts.

does anyone know how to edit information that has been submitted? I was looking up pressing info for the band jack's mannequin, and I noticed that whoever submitted some of their info erroneously wrote their newest lp by a wrong title, it's called "people and things" I think it currently says places and things. also, their 7" for the song "holiday from real" is listed as holiday as real or something like that. can we edit this? I'm not sure how to.

That's what I'm saying above. There's no way to edit or delete misinformation or duplicate information. Once it's there it's there until an administrator can delete it. This issue needs to get fixed otherwise the site is going to be flooded with this kind of stuff and render the pressing info useless.

There should be a "this needs corrected" thread regarding the pressing info for things like that then.

I second this notion. Make a sticky thread. and we should make up some rules how to post in there. no bullshit just constructive posts.

I think that way we can make a good database.

Agreed. Already working on all sorts of new tools for managing pressing info, a thread will follow.

Every change that people make to the database is being logged too, so you'll be able to view edit history wiki style.

Is it possible to have a couple of minutes grace period when it's still ok to edit the post without the edit note at the bottom? I've seen this on other boards (even some indicate the time left). It's just because I can't type and write properly and often realize a typo the second after I hit 'post'...

so i noticed something kind of weird...nothing HUGE....but never the less:

if you look at this profile(edfuller's) it says he has 2,104 items:
http://deadformat.net/edfuller

however when you look at his tradelist it says he has 984 items:
http://deadformat.net/tradelist/edfuller

which number is correct!??!?!!!
