have you ever ended up somewhere where the music was just top notch? a party, a cafe, or even by some crazy chance, on the radio? im a total baby when it comes to listening to music i dont like, and unfortunately its something i have to deal with way more than id appreciate. so tonight was one of those times when the good music prevailed.

i went out to dinner tonight at a restaurant that had an outstanding playlist on. when we first sat down a beatles song was on, which was nice, but nothing to really write home about. but then a few tracks later, i noticed that everything coming on was just really good stuff. then broken social scene came on, and my face lit up like a little kid on christmas. it was cool enough that one of their songs was played, but it was my favorite of theirs as well- pacific theme. and for the rest of our meal, not one track disappointed. got some radiohead, more beatles, petty- and they were all obscure choices as well.

i remember a pretty good party 4 years ago... the dj started off with good/average indie music(killers,kooks, the automatic and so on...), later the night he played saves the day, samiam, dinsaur jr, thursday, rival schools it was getting better and better but than it happened: texas is the reason - back and to the left!! i was so stoked, cuz i´ve never expected that kind of music, it was a public bar with bout 120 visitors, no kids at all...
